Hi there! I'm Michelle Doolittle (I know, I know, I really should become a vet with a last name like mine). I grew up in Kaukauna, WI and graduated from Kaukauna High School in 2014. Apart from other my age at that time, I waited a few years before I decided I wanted to attend college. Instead I continued to work for our family-owned boat shop. I love everything about our family-owned business, but it is missing one thing: taking care of animals!
After deciding taking over the family-owned business was not on my career path, I applied to the veterinary technician program at Madison Area Technical College (MATC), which I thought would eventually lead into vet school. It did not take me very long to acknowledge my passion was being a vet tech, not a veterinarian. I graduated in 2018 with a veterinary technician degree and I passed by board exam that summer, making me a certified veterinary technician! I was lucky enough to become a part of Four Lakes' wonderful team, where I'm learning so much!
What's a vet tech without fur babies, right? I have three pups at home right now: Sadie, a 13-year old yellow lab, Breck, who is a 3-year old teddy bear, and Mia, the newest addition to our family is another yellow lab. It's safe to say they keep me quite busy and entertained!
When I'm not wearing my CVT hat, you can find me outside either playing with the pups, sitting by the fire, hiking in the woods, sunbathing on the boat, water skiing, fishing, downhill skiing, at the cabin or pretty much anything that involves being active outside or being with family!
Life is full of hidden gems, but one of the most wonderful of all is finding a career that brings out the best in you and encourages you to pour your passion into it, bringing out the best in that career!
